Kine & clips for your PC

Press a key and the last 30 seconds of your game are saved as a clip. After the game the clips upload to Kine - never during play, so your online game does not lag. Pick one of the two apps: About Kine →

Two apps, pick one

Kine for PC

Kine as a desktop app for watching videos + the clipper, in one window.

Clipper included
  • All of Kine in a window on your PC, one sign-in for the app and the site
  • The clipper is built in - your clips one tab over, ready to trim and upload
  • Your Kine color (5× click on the logo) in the app too

Kine Clipper

Just the clipper, in the tray next to the clock. Kine opens in your browser.

Clipper only
  • A small program next to the clock, nothing more
  • Clips your game with one key, uploads to Kine after the game
  • Watching videos stays in the browser

These are two separate apps - one is enough. Kine for PC already includes the clipper, so nobody needs both (if they ever run together, the clipper closes itself).

The installer is not yet signed by a verified publisher, so your browser or Windows (SmartScreen) may warn you. In the browser choose "Keep", in Windows "More info" → "Run anyway". A signature is in the works. If Windows says Smart App Control blocked an app or part of it: it blocks programs that are not digitally signed yet, and while it is on, Kine cannot be installed. Turn it off in Windows Security → App & browser control → Smart App Control settings and run the installer again (your clips and settings stay). You can turn it back on later, but it may then block Kine until Kine is signed.

How it works

  1. Install and sign in (one click via the browser, or with e-mail and password).
  2. Pick a shortcut (F8 by default) and the clip length (15–120 s).
  3. Start a game. The app recognizes the game in front of you (Steam, hundreds of well-known games and anything full-screen) and quietly keeps the last few dozen seconds. Press the shortcut - the clip is saved.
  4. After the game a small window shows your clips: pick what to upload to Kine. Uploads run only while you are not playing.

Free and subscriptions

Clipping is free without limits: the app saves clips on your PC and you upload them to Kine whenever you like - the same rules as for any video apply. With Clips Plus the clips upload by themselves after the game and can be up to 5 minutes long; Kine Plus adds the PLUS badge and a higher daily upload limit. More about subscriptions →

Why not straight to the cloud

Clips stay on your PC (Videos/Kine); only what you pick goes to Kine. Nothing uploads during a game and the game does not notice - the app only records the screen, it never injects into the game, so anti-cheat is not an issue.
